Check-in is between 3:00pm and 8:00pm.
Arrivals outside these times can generally be accommodated. If it is early and your room is not ready for check-in you can register and leave your luggage so you can enjoy the rest of your day.
If you are arriving by car you will need to purchase a Parks Canada Visitor Pass. This can be done at the Banff & Lake Louise Tourism site before arrival.
If advance purchase is not an option for you, and if you are arriving from the East you can stop at the Park Gates.
If arriving from the west, you can purchase a pass from the kiosk next to the Banff Visitor Centre.

Lake Louise is a popular destination for visitors to Banff. Parking at lakeside is limited and there is also a charge. Consider taking Roam Transit to popular sites like Lake Minnewanka, Johnson Lake, Johnston Canyon and Lake Louise.
Moraine Lake is another popular destination but private vehicles are restricted. Book a shuttle! Even better, you can use the circular shuttle service between Moraine Lake and Lake Louise.
